How We Make The Perfect Hanging Baskets

Within the grounds of Crylla Valley Holiday Cottages we have 18 acres of well tended gardens and woodlands.  We are also very keen on our hanging basket and this year for the very first time Ed is trying out a new way of planting these so here is his step by step guide to Crylla Valley’s hanging baskets.

 

The first layer of plants go in and are clipped into place.

Continue layer the plants and soil, here you can see the cage like clips that hold them into place.

 

 

 

 

 

Last layer of plants goes in.

 

 

 

 

 

 

With all the sides planted finish the basket off with the top layer.   These new baskets hold up to 17 plants and are environmentally friendly.

 

 

 

 

To get this effect Ed has used a 14inch “Plantopia“.   After only a few weeks our baskets are blooming lovely!
