South West top UK league for blue flag beaches

If it is a beach holiday you’re looking for, you won’t do better than choosing a holiday in Devon and Cornwall, and that’s official!  The South West have had 23 beaches awarded the coveted blue flag status be leading environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.   The Charity has also awarded 27 Westcountry beaches the new Seaside Award, which replaced the QualityCoast Award this year.  People may not choose a beach for a blue flag but it is reassuring, especially for families with young children and another good reason to choose Devon and Cornwall as a holiday destination.
